A Letter from Lauren's Mom
Dear Friends:

On behalf of the International Rett Syndrome Foundation, and celebrity host Clint Black, please “bring your honey and bring your money,” to Baton Rouge’s second annual benefit to raise critically needed funding for Rett Syndrome research and related autism spectrum disorders!  On October 27th, 2012 at 7:00 pm, the International Rett Syndrome Foundation and several Louisiana families affected by Rett syndrome are hosting a Southwest Fest, “Black Out Rett Syndrome,” at the Celtic Media Centre in Baton Rouge, LA.  The benefit features a live and silent auction and a performance by prolific platinum-selling singer/songwriter Clint Black.  Black will be joined on-stage with his brother Brian, nephew Coleton and brother Kevin Black.  The Black family will perform to celebrate the memory of Kevin’s daughter, Cortney Black, who lost her battle to Rett syndrome at age 14. Funds from this event benefit IRSF’s Research to Reality Research Fund, chaired by Clint Black. One-hundred percent of net proceeds are earmarked for research.  Albemarle Corporation is the presenting sponsor.

Now is your chance to choose the hero's path and spend a little of your time making a truly significant difference in the fight to “Black Out Rett Syndrome” during October Rett Syndrome Awareness Month.  Come dressed in creative country or anything black to show your support!

To purchase a table or reserved seating with VIP upgraded food and beverage package to the “Black Out Rett Syndrome” event, or to make a donation to IRSF, please visit http://irsf.ejoinme.org/batonrouge or call (800) 818-RETT.

General admission tickets with cash bar (beer included!) are available online only for $100 per individual in advance, $125 at the door.  YOUR HELP IS OUR HOPE TO BLACK OUT RETT SYNDROME AND RELATED AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS.  Please see the attached flyer to learn more about the event, Rett syndrome and IRSF, a 4 star Charity Navigator organization.  Your help is our hope!
